This concept reimagines the Nike x Skims collaboration as a more unisex, fashion-forward silhouette.
The goal was to move away from a strictly athletic shape and create a hybrid between a loafer and a performance sneaker. Combining Nike’s technical design language with Skims’ sculpted, body-contouring aesthetic.
The sole was made thicker to give the shoe more structure, similar to a loafer, but kept lightweight to maintain an athletic feel. This creates a hybrid form that feels grounded without looking heavy.
Instead of flat panels, the upper uses curved, tension-like lines inspired by compression wear. This reflects Skims’ focus on shaping and contouring the body, translating that idea into footwear to create a surface that feels molded rather than assembled.
